F.A.Q.

Synergy Appliance would love to obtain your business, but please know that we will not take advantage of your lack of information just to service your appliance. Below are some frequently asked questions and answers that could solve your appliance problem and save you money.

Q: Why does it take multiple cycles for my clothes to dry in my dryer?
A: The most common problem when it takes more than one cycle to dry your clothes is the vent system. The vent system from your laundry room to the exterior of your home could be clogged with lint, socks, a bird's nest, etc. A simple test it to detach the vent hose from the wall, and place it over an empty bucket. Put your wet clothes in the dryer and run a normal cycle. If the clothes dry in that normal cycle, then you know that the vent system is clogged and your dryer is working just fine.

Q: My dryer will not start.
A: While there could be several factors as to why your dryer isn't starting, the best place to look first is your outlet. Make sure that there is electricity going to your dryer outlet. If you have a voltmeter, make sure you're getting 220 to 240 volts. Also check the circuit breaker to make sure you haven't tripped the circuit and to confirm your circuit hasn't gone bad.

Q: My washer will not start.
A: While there could be several factors as to why your washer isn't starting, the best place to look first is your outlet. Make sure that there is electricity going to your washer outlet. If you have a voltmeter, make sure you're getting 110 volts. Also check the circuit breaker to make sure you haven't tripped the circuit and to confirm your circuit hasn't gone bad.

Q: My refrigerator is not cooling.
A: Try adjusting the thermostat in your freezer to a lower temperature. Most models draw the air from the freezer to cool the refrigerator. Make sure the vent from the freezer to the refrigerator is open. If this doesn't work, please contact a Synergy Appliance team member at 817-427-4673.

Q: Should I repair my appliance or buy another appliance?
A: It depends on the cost of the repair. If the repair is near what another appliance will cost, it is likely more cost effective to buy. This is strictly your judgment call. Whether you decide to repair or replace, we are here to help you. Please call us today so we can save you time and money regarding your appliance needs.

Q: Where do I find model and serial numbers on my appliances?
A: On most appliances, the model and serial numbers are inside the door or interior wall. Some appliances have these numbers on the back, top or side of the unit.

Q: My dishwasher is not draining.
A: Typically your dishwasher is connected to your garbage disposal. Make sure your garbage disposal is not clogged as this could affect the performance of your dishwasher. Also, make sure you're not using too much dishwashing detergent and confirm it's the correct soap for your dishwasher.

Q: My front loader washing machine is not draining properly.
A: All front loaders use a special type of detergent that is High Efficiency (HE). Make sure your detergent has the HE symbol on it.

Q: My refrigerator is not producing ice and water in the door.
A: There could be several reasons why your refrigerator isn't producing water or ice. Check your water filter first to make sure that it is not clogged. If this doesn't fix the problem, please call Synergy Appliance at 817-427-4673.

Q: The water from my refrigerator tastes "funny".
A: Make sure your water filter has been changed recently. If it has been changed, it's possible that you need to change the water tank. Please call Synergy Appliance to order a new tank or schedule service, 817-427-4673.
